Before I get started, let me tell you a story. Just the other day I'm walking home with my friend, and we start talking about my blog, and I start telling her about this post and how I was hoping to write it soon. So I tell her the name and she says "That's a very Robyn title."
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!?
I have no idea if that's a good thing, or if I'm really that predictable, but just thought I'd share that.
anyways, moving on...
So I'm scared of Santa. I just want to put that out there.
I've never been a big fan of him, and I wasn't sure what was so lovable about a jolly ol' fat man, but this year, I was really turned off of liking him at all.
I was in some store when the song "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" comes on.
I'm walking around listening to this song, and sort of singing along, when I clue into what I'm saying! It took me a while, so I was about half way through the song...
"He sees you when you're sleeping, he know when you're awake!"
wow, I'm not sure if I really want someone who dresses so obnoxiously to be watching me in my sleep.
"He knows if you've been bad or good. So be good for goodness sake!"
I'm not sure if I should be smiling because Santa is encouraging people to be good, or run screaming from the building.
Then, just as I'm starting to break into a sweat...
"O! You better watch out!"
AAAAHHHHH!!!!! From now on I'm sleeping with one eye open!
Then I was just thinking, hey it must just be one song!
but then I was looking at the lyrics to "Here Comes Santa Claus"...
"Hang your stockings and say your prayers, because Santa Claus is coming tonight"
That can't be good...
Then from "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas"
"When the clock is striking twelve, when I'm fast asleep, down the chimney broad and black, with your pack you'll creep."
I think I've seen some moving about a burglar that was doing something like this.
"Ho, ho ho, who wouldn't go?"
I'll tell ya who! ME! I'd run away or hide under my bed.
well, that' the end of my rant, hope I haven't caused you too much fear.
sleep tight on Christmas Eve!
