Here’s an interesting thought about
Attila the Hun.
Although, he is often stereotyped as a crazy, terrible, cruel
ruler, he had another whole side to him that few people know about. He was
actually quite merciful to his captives, very caring to his people, and he
didn’t live, like many other kings did, in extravagancy, but rather lived just
like all of his men. The most interesting part is that his ruling style is
compared, by many historians, to Julius Caesar’s ruling. Even though they ruled
in very similar ways, Caesar is a hero and everyone has forgotten about his
cruelty and the torturing that he did, but everyone remembers Attila’s nastiness
and forgets about his greatness.
