Our Stories

I went through a season of my life where God spoke to me a fair bit about stories. More specifically, my story and your story. So I wrote out what I feel God was impressing on me and broke it into 3 parts.
Here's part 1

Our Stories

Everyone has a story. Some funnier than others. Some sadder than others. Some more interesting than others. Some healthier than others.
The point is everyone has a story, and this story, in part, makes you who you are.
Of course, you don't have to define yourself by your failures and accomplishments, rather by what God has made you, but your story does affects you. It affects your actions, your attitudes, your thoughts, and ultimately, it affects your life.
Something in the past, affects why and how you do what you do.
The past is why your neighbor doesn't want to hear about your "religion."
The past is why that kid that sits behind you seems to always be hiding from people.
The past is why your friend doesn't talk about her family.
The past is why we do what we do.
My challenge to you, then, is to be slower to judge. That person that drives you crazy has a reason for acting that way.

  1. I'm glad to know a bit of your story, and look forward to hearing more.
